Paintings: Works on Canvas
Works on Canvas
These paintings on canvas reflect my interest in geometric shapes and my ongoing use of mathematics for subject matter. For many of them, I apply a formal grid system which I designed using the principles of dynamic symmetry as described by Jay Hambidge in his book The Elements of Dynamic Symmetry. To arrive at the geometric imagery, I work back and forth between 3-D folded forms and 2-D drawings of them.
